In Object Subject glass puddles are inscribed with phrases amassed from conversations and internal dialogues in the artist’s life. Oscillating between confrontational and humorous, the text emerges and ossifies or melts into nothingness through the exposure of glass to extreme heat. Amorphous in form, resembling droplets or tears, the glass captures fleeting moments into permanence through careful craftsmanship. The work explores the parallels between the various and complex dynamics of interpersonal relationships and those between artist, artwork and audience.
