Amy Jones
Bachelor of Visual Arts (Honours)
I am an Honours painting student. My work is a series of 6 paintings focusing on theme of Dreams.
I recreated some of my most prominent dreams that I’ve experienced, by making them into a digital collage, then mutating them using an AI generator. I then painted my images in oil paints, using a transitional method of grisaille and glazing; where I paint my image in black and white, then glazing coloured pigment mix with fatty medium on top to create a luminous dream-like quality.
My series is about trying to unravel and demonstrate liminal spaces, elicit by times of uncertainty expressed through the dreamscape.
