Isaac Kozlovskis
Bachelor of Visual Arts
There is nothing wrong with self-improvement, it’s ok to want to wake up earlier, eat cleaner, and strive to make better art. These virtues, however, can also become tools to moralise bodies and moralise art.
My work is concerned with structures of socialisation that choreograph digital and IRL behaviour. I use text to explore the politics of bodies, posturing, ego and self.
In adopting the aesthetics of an ideal-obsessed subculture, I am forced to reflect on how I construct myself in relation to a similar set of ideals.
