Giselle Dunn

Bachelor of Visual Arts

This series explores how painting can mediate perception, transforming the familiar into something uncertain. Each work depicts a kitsch ceramic figurine, painted in a realistic style but altered in some way to evoke an uncanny sense of unfamiliarity in a familiar object.
