This triptych of characters expresses parts of artist Rock McKibbin's emotional makeup. Spirallette, Hoppy, and Wish-a-lot, are the adorably twisted faces assigned to be symbols of Shame, Hope, and Avoidance.
The materiality and silhouettes of each character have been determined by way of each characters function in the artist's mind.
Working with predominantly pink, textural, and reclaimed materials, Rock McKibbin plays with nostalgia and girlhood underwoven with a fear of growing up or being unable to grow at all.
