These landscape paintings may feel familiar to those who live in Canberra or New South Wales. You might recognise some buildings, hills or roads or at least find them familiar. With dripping paint built up in thin watery layers there is a sense these scenes are memories or reimagined. In some of the paintings you may notice overgrowing webs or giant trees in the sky. These works portray the landscape not as a passive backdrop but as something that is alive and growing.
