Mulloon Institute is a not-for-profit organisation that uses its research to generate more resilient landscapes to combat the changing climate conditions. Their brief for this project was to provide digestible information to the public about the research conducted at Mulloon Institute.
The objective for this project was to create an engaging and informative way to present environmental scientific interventions for the general public. Our project has achieved this through creating immersive mixed media animations; using sound, textiles and illustrations to emulate Australian flora and fauna. Alongside this, we made a brief watercolour comic that explores in more detail the processes installed by the Mulloon Institute. The comic aims to detail the interdependencies between ecological health and ecosystems, and to educate individuals about the in-stream structures used in waterway restoration across Australia.
The final products are intended to be displayed on social media and the Mulloon Institute website, to catch the attention of a general audience who are then invited to delve into the deeper research of the individual case studies at Mulloon Institute.
